Does your kitty get enough exercise? If she does, she may very well resemble this finely tuned mountain lion pictured here.
One of the most important responsibilities of good cat care is to be sure that your kitty has the proper exercise. This is especially true of "indoor" cats, whom rarely, if ever, get outside of the house or apartment. Exercise will help prevent obesity, diseases and boredom. And, when it comes to giving your cat something to do, there is no such thing as "too much".
"Ho-hum", yawned Alexander as he awoke from his mid-afternoon nap. With lazy eyes he stared blankly around the room. Rising, he arched his back to the ceiling, stretched his toes, and instinctively extended his nails slightly. When he began to walk, he found his front paw was snagged in the carpet of the window seat he had been dozing on. Awkwardly shaking his leg he freed his foot, but, just as quickly, he forgot where he was going. "That's always sooo embarrassing", he mewed to himself.
Thinking of the impending visit with his brother and life on the vast Serengeti Plain of Africa, Alexander envisioned himself on a grass covered knoll scouting a herd of Gnu gathered around a drying waterhole. He pictured the rippling muscles he would need to keep up with his brother as they made their dinner reservations. "Well", he mused, eyeing the imposing cat gym across the room. "I'd better get to work!!". With that he raced across the room and made a graceful leap onto the first of the many platform challenges which were part of his exercise routine.
